The 3 camera settings that comprise the Exposure Triangle are aputure, shutter speed & ISO.

On the back monitor of our Nikon D3400 cameras, the aperture setting is displayed by 2nd circle . Apertures are typically numbers f1,4 , f2, f28, f4, f5,6, f8, f11

The shutter speed settings are shown on the third circle from the left on the back monitor. Expressed as fractions of a second, the shortest or highest shutter speed on our cameras are 1/4000 seconds and the longest or slowest shutter speed is 30 seconds.

The third setting ISO controls the camera’s sensitivity to light. This setting goes from 100 to maximum (max) on our cameras.

To set the ISO on our cameras, we hold down the ISO button and rotate the command dial Set the iso to 400.

Set the aperture to f5.6, by holding down the #4 buttons on the top of the camera and rotating the Command dial.

Exposure 1/13, f22
Exposure 1/1600, f5.6
